Stress is a major contributor to rescue situations and diving accidents. Through this course you will learn accident prevention, as well as how to handle problem situations if they occur.
The program is about avoiding, recognizing and solving problems on the surface and under water. The course runs two - four days in which you will participate in academic and in-water sessions in the pool and in the open water. As a prerequisite for certification you need to have a valid CPR & First Aid certificate.
Class Description:
The rescue diver class includes four certifications. At the conclusion of this class you will be certified in CPR, De-Fib, DAN 02 and Stress Rescue . This class is challenging and is geared for the person who is serious about their diving.
Note: All of the above certifications are prerequisites for Dive Control Specialist.

Rescue scenario training dives will be held at Mermet Springs.
Pool sessions will be held at an area pool to be announced prior.
What Do I Need to Bring:
You will need to bring your manuals and workbooks to the classroom session.
As a rescue diver you should have your own equipment.
If you do not you will need to make arrangements to rent the equipment for your water training dates.
Manuals & Workbooks:
Please make arrangements to purchase your books and video before class. You should have your manuals read, the study video viewed and the review questions answered by the start of your class. There will be a multiple-choice exam at the end of the classroom portion. You must pass the exam before completing the open water check out dives.
Upon successful Completion of this course you will receive a diploma, a specialty patch and a certification card.
Class Fees:
The cost of the class is $260
Additional costs will includes manual, certification fees, diploma and patch.
Fee does include your entry and certification fees.
Scuba equipment and air fills are not included
A deposit of $100.00 will hold your place in the class.
There will be a $25.00 rescheduling fee for anyone canceling a class with less than a 3-day notice.
All Specialty classes should be scheduled at least 5 days in advance
