A rainy spring has helped fill the quarry. Members of Mermet Springs' Dive Control Specialist class have been practicing their skills as they complete the program in preparation for another exciting year of diving. Galen completes a run on the compass course in the last weekend of March.

Even in the middle of winter the scuba
alligator is on patrol at Mermet Springs. The catfish and the bluegill have gone into hibernation until spring.

Several new pavillions provide some shelter from the wind and the weather.  The newly installed pavillions are already filling up on the weekends with loads of happy divers.  Many of the new pavillions are conveniently located right next to the water.

Mermet Springs recently introduced a new staff member and the newest Dive Control Specialists. Pictured, from left, are new staff member Don English and Dive Control Specialists Robert Daun and Randy Ren with Mermet Springs owner Glen Faith.
Steve Smith was presented with the Mermet Springs Ambassador of the
Year award by owner Glen Faith. Smith was honored for sharing the fun of
scuba diving with more people than any other staff member.

Staff members Jack Harris and Steve Buntin prepare to enter the water to celebrate Steve's 1000th dive.  A trip down to the 100' platform, the "office" as they call it, was completed.  It was a great dive and a great way to log a milestone of 1000 dives.
